Most of use take a camera or phone (with a camera) on our travels. Taking good Travel Photographs takes some planning and thought. In this section, I provide comments, suggestions and tips that I have gained from my years of traveling with my camera in hand.
Tip 1. People are essential ingredients in Travel Photography. They provide local flavor and humanize the scene. My cardinal rule--ALWAYS ASK FOR PERMISSION TO PHOTOGRAPH INDIVIDUALS. And if the situation is appropriate, you can offer the person a small financial gift.
Many people become rigid when you go to take their picture.

Tip 2. Never stop learning and improving your photographic skill. One way is to study the work of other photographers. Recently, I have viewed photos by Vlad Dumitrescu from Romania. Vlad leads small group photo tours in Romania. He is a master in the use of light and shadow. Review his web site and study how he is able to use natural light to enhance his photos.
